Delete your TaxGuard account

TaxGuard is an app by So Smart Apps LLC. TaxGuard is a tax and expense tracking app for freelancers and self-employed people.

Deletion is permanent. It cannot be undone. Export anything you need first.

Delete in the app (fastest)

Open TaxGuard, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account (the red button under Sign Out). Confirm twice: Delete, then Delete My Account. Your account and data are deleted right away.

Cannot open the app? Request deletion by email

Email [email protected] from the address on your TaxGuard account, with the subject "Delete my TaxGuard account". We confirm who you are, delete the account, and reply to confirm, promptly.

What is deleted

• Your expenses, income, mileage trips (including recorded routes), reminders, tax payments and invoices.
• Imported bank transactions and bank-connection settings, including legacy bank-link data.
• Your user record.
• Your sign-in (Firebase Authentication user).
• Locally stored data on your device is cleared at the same time.
• Receipt, invoice and export files you uploaded to cloud storage.

The in-app Delete Account does not yet automatically remove the following items. We delete them promptly on your emailed request, until in-app deletion covers them: your Money Coach chats and the facts the coach has remembered, your AI credit records, your own Anthropic API key (stored encrypted), your merchant rules, your finance summary, and any linked bank records.

What is kept, and why

• Purchase records for AI-credit packs are held by the app store you bought them from and by our purchase processor (RevenueCat), and are governed by their policies, not removed by TaxGuard deletion.
• Nothing else about your tax data is kept by us.
