TaxGuard Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TaxGuard, a mobile and web application provided by So Smart Apps LLC ("we", "our", "us"). By using TaxGuard, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

TaxGuard is a business finance and tax compliance tool that helps freelancers and small business owners track expenses, income, mileage, invoices, and tax payments. TaxGuard can connect to your bank accounts via Plaid to automatically import and categorize transactions.

2. Not Tax Advice

TaxGuard is a record-keeping and organizational tool. It does not provide tax advice, legal advice, or financial planning services. The categorizations, summaries, and reports generated by TaxGuard are for informational purposes only. You should consult a qualified tax professional for advice about your specific tax situation.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you enter.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use TaxGuard.

4. Bank Connections

TaxGuard uses Plaid Inc. to connect to your financial institutions. By linking a bank account, you authorize Plaid to access your transaction data on your behalf. You may disconnect your bank at any time. We are not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of data received from Plaid or your financial institution.

5. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you enter into TaxGuard. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your financial records, documents, or reports.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use TaxGuard for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service.
• Use automated systems to access TaxGuard without permission.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain TaxGuard's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, So Smart Apps LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of TaxGuard, including but not limited to errors in tax calculations, lost data, or financial losses.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings > Delete Account). Deletion permanently removes all your data. We may also terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of TaxGuard after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
